Effective date: September 9, 2026.
This policy explains what ABOnsite collects through this website, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and how to have it removed.
Who this policy covers
ABOnsite provides IT services to businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations under contract. ABOnsite does not offer services to individual consumers or home users.
This policy applies to visitors to abonsite.com and to people who get in touch through this site. It does not govern client data handled under a service agreement. If ABOnsite administers your organization’s endpoints, Microsoft 365 tenant, network, or backups, the handling of that data is governed by the written service agreement between your organization and ABOnsite, not by this page. Where the two ever conflict, the service agreement controls for client data.
What is collected
Information you send deliberately. If you submit the contact form, send email, or leave a voicemail, ABOnsite receives whatever you choose to include – typically your name, organization, email address, phone number, and a description of your situation. Please do not send passwords, account credentials, or sensitive personal information through the contact form; it is not an appropriate channel for any of those.
Information collected automatically. The web server records standard request logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system identifiers. These are generated by the hosting platform for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build a profile of you.
Analytics and advertising measurement. This site uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is found and which pages are read, and Google Ads conversion tracking to measure which advertisements lead to a genuine enquiry. Both set cookies in your browser and both report to Google. What is measured is aggregate behaviour – pages viewed, time on page, whether a form was submitted – not your identity.
ABOnsite does not sell personal information, does not share it with data brokers, and does not run advertising on this site.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This site uses them for three purposes only: the analytics and advertising measurement described above; the Cloudflare Turnstile check on the contact form, which confirms you are a person rather than a bot and may store a short-lived token to do so; and, if you log in to the site as an administrator, keeping you signed in. There is no advertising network tracking beyond Google Ads conversion measurement.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google’s browser add-on. The site works normally with cookies disabled.
How the information is used
- To answer your enquiry and, if it goes further, to prepare an assessment and a proposal
- To operate and secure the website, including diagnosing errors and investigating abuse
- To understand which pages and which advertisements actually bring organizations here
Your information is not used to send marketing email. ABOnsite does not run a newsletter or a mailing list, and does not add enquirers to one.
Who it is shared with
Information is shared only with the services required to run this site and to reply to you:
- The hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs
- Resend, which transmits form submissions and email replies
- Google, for the analytics and advertising measurement described above
- Cloudflare, which provides DNS for the domain and the Turnstile anti-spam check that protects the contact form
Beyond these, information is disclosed only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate a security incident or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long it is kept
- Contact form submissions and correspondence: kept while there is an active enquiry or engagement, and for up to two years afterwards, so that prior conversations can be referred back to. Removed on request.
- Server logs: retained on a short rolling window by the hosting platform, typically weeks rather than months, then overwritten.
- Analytics data: retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics.
How it is protected
The site is served over HTTPS, administrative access requires a strong password, and the platform and its components are kept patched. No website can promise perfect security, and this one does not. What ABOnsite can promise is that the contact form is not a repository of sensitive data, because you are asked not to send any through it.
Your choices
You can ask ABOnsite to tell you what information it holds about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to andy@abonsite.com and say what you would like done. There is no charge, no account to create, and no form to fill in. Requests are answered within 30 days.
You can also browse this site with cookies disabled, and you are never required to submit the contact form – the phone number and email address on the contact page work just as well.
Children
This site is directed at organizations, not at individuals, and certainly not at children. ABOnsite does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Links to other sites
Pages here may link to third-party sites, such as a vendor’s documentation. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and ABOnsite is not responsible for them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected or who it is shared with, the effective date above will be updated and the change described here. Material changes will not be applied retroactively to information already collected.
