About ABOnsite
ABOnsite is a managed service provider headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, serving organizations throughout Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.
Who I serve
ABOnsite provides IT services to businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations under contract. ABOnsite does not offer services to individual consumers or home users. My clients are typically organizations with 5 to 75 employees: professional services firms, medical and dental practices, associations, and nonprofits. Engagements are governed by a written service agreement and billed as a flat monthly fee.
What I do
I act as the outsourced IT department for organizations that are too small to staff one internally, or as a co-managed partner alongside an existing internal resource. That covers managed IT and monitoring, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration, cybersecurity, backup and business continuity, network and server infrastructure, and IT strategy at the leadership level.
What I do not do
I do not take walk-in work, individual break-fix requests, or residential engagements. I do not sell hourly consumer services. If you are an individual looking for help with a personal device, this is not the right fit and I will tell you so.
Background
ABOnsite is the business services practice of an independent IT firm that has supported organizations in the Washington region since 2015. It is owned and run by one engineer, Andy Barth, who handles every engagement personally – the assessment, the onboarding, and the day-to-day work afterward.
That is a deliberate limit, not a gap. You are never handed off to a technician who has not seen your environment before, nothing gets lost between shifts, and the person who answers the phone is the person who built the setup. It also means client count is capped: I take on only as many organizations as I can genuinely support to the response times in the agreement.
Client environments are managed on NinjaOne, for which I hold current platform certification. Where a project calls for expertise outside what I cover directly, I say so and bring in a specialist rather than learning on your time.
Service area
Alexandria, Virginia and the surrounding region: Arlington, Fairfax County, and Tysons in Northern Virginia; Washington DC; Bethesda, Silver Spring, and Rockville in Montgomery County; and College Park, Greenbelt, Bowie, and Hyattsville in Prince George’s County. Remote support is delivered nationally for existing contract clients with distributed staff.
